What is Kata Kata?

Kata Kata is an authentic African cartoon magazine with both online and printed versions. In a humorous way, Kata Kata tries to discuss and sensitize typical (African) socio – political and cultural issues. At the same time, it equally offers a maxim that life is perhaps not all about seriousness. One needs some laughs and relaxation to face serious challenges in life.

The Characters

From Piccolo, a wannabe, caught between African and Western cultures, to Useni, a poor, uneducated, timid old man, who speaks English the way he thinks in his local language. What of Agama, the boastful, combatant, self confident womanizer? And Nza, the bookish looking truant son of Agama? Regardless, one thing is clear: their lives are full of Kata Kata (chaos) due to flaws in their characters.
